According to Style Caster Magazine, the inspiration behind their acquisition came from the British entrepreneur Richard Branson. Mr. Branson has a 30-hectare island in the British Virgin Islands branded Necker Island. Jay-Z had been thoroughly researching islands in the Bahamas.
The 12.5 hectare island is carpeted with lush greenery and has a natural harbor. A natural harbor provides a perfect setting for snorkeling and scuba diving due to the crystal clear waters.
